We hereby, the Next Generation, Mr. Stefanus Samberi, declare that, the First Contract of Work of PT.  Freeport McMoRan which was signed by Mr. Stefanus Samberi for 30 years (1967 - 1997) is legal, while the Second Contract of Work signed by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia with PT.  Freeport McMoRan for 30 years (1991 - 2021), and PT.  Freeport McMoRan agreed that it is illegal to divest 51% of its shares to the Government of the Republic of Indonesia.  Because West Papua Land (Sorong - Merauke) belongs to West Papuans, other than that it is not the owner.  So in essence 51% of the shares of PT.  Freeport McMoRan for 54 years belongs to the Papuan people (Mr. Stefanus Samberi, the Great Leader of West Papua).

We have seen and heard all the statements of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia so far that, West Papua is a legitimate Indonesian territory within the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, therefore we ask the President of the Republic of Indonesia as a Five Star to take a stand to order the Commander of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and  The Chief of Police of the Republic of Indonesia (POLRI), to send troops to Mimika Regency, West Papua, to immediately temporarily stop all activities carried out by PT.  Freeport McMoRan and negotiated with us regarding 51% shares of PT.  Freeport McMoRan for 54 years, whose Work Contract period ends in 2021.

After negotiating, the third Contract of Work will be extended.  The above matter will prove that the Political Status of West Papua is Final and Legitimate in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia or not yet final and invalid.  Because the First Contract of Work of PT.  Freeport McMoRan is directly related to the Political Status of West Papua within the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and the Minerba Law clearly stipulates that the Government of the Republic of Indonesia must own shares without having to be purchased, and all foreign companies that enter work in the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia must comply with the law.  applicable in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.  But the fact is that for 54 years the Government of the Republic of Indonesia does not own 51% of shares in PT.  Freeport McMoRan, which is even worse in 2018 the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through State - Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in this case PT. Indonesia Asahan Aluminum (INALUM) bought 51% shares from PT. Freeport McMoRan.

Thus we make this Open Letter. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
